This Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings, contracts, and scheduled works with Ash Grove Contractors Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By engaging our services, the Client (“you”) agrees to the following cancellation terms:

1. Notice of Cancellation

All cancellations must be made in writing via email or recorded post to:

The cancellation date will be the date the written notice is received.

2. Cooling-Off Period (for Consumer Contracts Only)

If you are a domestic (consumer) customer and entered into a contract with us away from our business premises (e.g. at your home), you may cancel within 14 calendar days of signing the agreement, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • If you request us to start work during the 14-day cooling-off period, you will be charged for any work completed and materials purchased.

  • If full work is completed within the 14 days, you may lose your right to cancel.

3. Cancellation Charges (Outside Cooling-Off Period)

If the cooling-off period does not apply or has expired, the following cancellation charges will be enforced:

Cancellation Fee

More than 14 days before start date - No fee (minus any unrecoverable material or admin costs)

7–14 days before start date - 25% of total project value

Less than 7 days before start date - 50% of total project value

After work has commenced - Full cost of work and materials incurred to date, plus up to 100% of labour booked for the first 5 working days

These fees reflect costs already incurred, such as labour scheduling, material orders, equipment hire, and opportunity costs.

4. Non-Attendance / Site Access Issues

If work is scheduled and our team arrives on site but is unable to commence due to access restrictions, safety concerns, or lack of readiness, a call-out charge may apply, and delays may incur additional costs.

5. Refund Policy

  • Where refunds are applicable, they will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

  • Any non-refundable deposits or material restocking fees will be deducted.

6. Force Majeure

If cancellation or delay is due to circumstances beyond your or our control (e.g. extreme weather, national emergencies, supply chain disruption), we will work with you to reschedule work. Cancellation fees may be waived at our discretion.

7. Disputes & Chargebacks

We aim to resolve any issues professionally and fairly. We kindly request that clients contact us first to resolve disputes before raising a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank.

Unfounded or fraudulent chargebacks will be contested, and we reserve the right to recover our full costs, including administrative and legal fees.
